Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between Lawsync, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"), and the firm or person that signs up for Folderwell ("you"). By creating an account or using Folderwell, you agree to them. If you sign up for a firm, you confirm that you may agree to them for the firm.

1. The service

Folderwell lets you create private web pages to share documents with, and collect documents from, the people you choose. Features differ by plan, as described on the pricing page. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove a core feature of a paid plan without telling you first.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the people you give logins to, for keeping passwords private, and for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@folderwell.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.

3. Your documents

You own the documents and information you put into Folderwell ("your content"). You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the people you share it with. We do not sell your content.

You decide who receives a page's link. Anyone who has a link can open that page unless you require an email code, so send links only to the people who should have them, and set an expiration date or disable a page when it is no longer needed. You are responsible for having the right to share the documents you put on a page.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Folderwell to:

  • break the law or another person's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
  • send malware, spam or content meant to deceive the people who open your pages;
  • try to get into accounts, pages or systems you are not authorized to use, or interfere with the service; or
  • resell the service or let people outside your firm use your account.

We may suspend a page or an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why when we can.

5. Plans, trial and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices on the pricing page when you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe. A free trial, when offered, ends on the date shown when you sign up, and billing starts then unless you cancel first. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where required.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and fees already paid are not refunded unless the law requires it. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your plan.

6. Ending your account

When your account ends, your pages stop working. Download anything you want to keep before you cancel; after the account ends we may delete your content.

7. Not legal advice

Folderwell is a document-sharing tool. It does not give legal advice, and using it does not change your professional duties, including your duties of confidentiality to your clients.

8. Disclaimers

We work to keep Folderwell available and secure, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the fees you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Using Folderwell after that date means you accept the updated terms.
